DESCRIPTION
Discovered in the Cotswold’s this lovely and very rare Edwardian silver plated dish is a souvenir from the Gordon Bennett Trophy Road Race (the official name of the race was “IV Coupe Internationale”) held on the Athy Circuit consisting of closed roads in Ireland on 2nd July 1903. This race; in the very early years of motor racing was ran by three entries each from Great Britain, France, Germany and the USA. It was won by the Belgian Camille Jenatzy representing Germany in a Mercedes. A very special piece that would grace any collection.

CONDITION
There is a little tarnishing as would be expected (it is nearly 120 years old) but apart from that it is in very good original condition with no deep scratches or dents – please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
