DESCRIPTION

Discovered in the Cotswold’s this incredibly rare cigar/cigarette box was made for the dealership showroom of Armstrong Siddeley Motor Cars and dates from the 1930’s.  Founded in 1919 Armstrong Siddeley merged with Hawker Aircraft in 1935 and were the manufacturer of luxury cars and aircraft engines and promoted themselves as “Cars of Aircraft Quality”.  Based in Coventry they ceased making cars in 1960.  This box is made from thin pressed steel which has then been painted gold on the outside and black inside.

CONDITION

There are a couple of small dents and wear to the paint consistent with its age and there is a little rust inside - please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
