DESCRIPTION
A polychrome hand carved and painted wooden Vahana horses head on ebonised stand.  Originating from India and dating from the 19th century.
 
The Vahana (Sanskrit: “mount” or “vehicle”) is the carrier of the deity in Hindu mythology.
 
DIMENSIONS – H:  35cm including stand.
 
CONDITION
It has wear consistent with its age but is structurally sound.  The stand is brand new - please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
