DESCRIPTION

Discovered in Wiltshire, the exact origins of this interesting and unusual piece are not known but it was probably made in the United Kingdom some time in the first half of the 20th century.  Likely made as a toy for a child it has a moving turret and two rollers plus eye rings front and back so it can be pulled along.  It does not appear to have been modified since being made and retains much of its original paint – a great collectors and decorative piece.

DIMENSIONS – H:  14.5cm W:  24cm D:  11cm

CONDITION

The gun is bent and the metal turret cap is loose plus all exposed metal is rusty.  There is old wear and tear to the wood but all of this is part of this pieces charm - please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
