CONDITION
They are around 140 years old and do have some condition issues but these are reflected in the price. Both appear to have been turned into lamp stands at some point in their history and so have drilled holes in their bases and backs. The lutenist is cracked at both ankles and the top of one leg, the tip of one shoe is missing and his steel frame is showing in several places. The horn player is cracked at one ankle where the steel frame is also showing. The bases of both are also slightly out of shape. Even so they remain sturdy and are great pieces with lovely patina - please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
