DESCRIPTION
Wooden box with sliding lid hand made by a Boer prisoner of war on St Helena Island in 1901.  Decorated with a lion figure, carved hearts and inscribed “MADE BY P.O.W ST HELENA.  1901”.

CONDITION
It has some crazing to the varnish on the front but is otherwise in good condition with light scratches and marks consistent with its age.  Please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
