DESCRIPTION

Former property from The Manor House, Stanford in the Vale, this stunning and beautifully patinated bronze is French and dates from the 19th century.  After Jules Moigniez (1835-1894) who was a noted animalier and frequently exhibited his sculptures at the Paris Salon it is inscribed “J MOIGNIEZ” to the base.  A real quality and decorative object with excellent provenance.

CONDITION

Excellent condition with beautiful patina.  It does appear to have had one screw replaced at some time - please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
